Description: Seeking a Technical Planner with 1-2 years of SolidWorks experience in drafting and 3D modeling, preferably with sheet metal and weldments. Must have 3 years in metal fabrication and hands-on experience with manufacturing processes like machining and welding. The role requires problem-solving skills, data analysis, and the ability to follow detailed instructions.

Functions: Review information provided from sales and estimating. i.e., Customer drawings, specifications, tolerances/GD& T. Make any design for manufacturing (DFM) changes that may apply to the product. Create 30 models and detailed manufacturing drawings using Solidworks. Use multiple software tools to create programs, manufacturing flies, and proof design for manufacturing (DFM) changes. 20 cad software (AutoCAD 2004) Nesting software (Sigmanest) Forming software (Sigma bend)

Requirements: 1-2 years of experience in drafting and 3D modeling using Solidworks. Sheet metal, weldments experience is preferred. 3 years working in a metal fabrication environment. Experience with manufacturing and fabrication including raw material processing, forming, machining, and welding. Ability to define problems, to collect data, establish facts and to draw conclusions. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or planning/schedule.

Optional: SolidWorks sheet metal and weldments. Epicor ERP system. Previous experience in all areas related to: Sheet laser & tube laser o Saw cutting Sheet metal formin, CNC and manual machines, Panel bending Metal fabrication, rolling, punching, and other manual process related tasks. Welding, robotic and manual. Machining, Raw material and weldment.
